1) Students should continue with the summer reading program. The book titles can be found on the school website: oakviewprep.com - Classes - Grade - Reading List
2) The Bathroom Renovation Project that we all worked so hard to fundraise for last year is well underway. We have started on the upstairs girls and boys bathrooms. We are sure that you will be pleased with the final results.Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances, the Bathroom Renovation Project will delay school reopening by 1 week. Therefore, school will reopen on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 (the day after Labor Day). All students should report to school in full school uniform on that day.
3) We are still searching for a bus driver for Bus #1 to service the Mount Vernon area. If you know of anyone with a CDL License who might be interested in the position, please let us know.Bus # 2 will service the Bronx Area. Those who are scheduled for Bus #2 service should listen out for a call from the driver, Mr. Allen (914) 309-8277, regarding pick up and drop off times.
4) Parents who pick up and drop off their children, please be reminded that the school doors open at 7:30a.m. and students should be picked up after dismissal by 3:30p.m.Thank you for your patience and understanding. If we work together, by God's grace, our children will achieve success.Sincerely,
