A Different Kind-A World
By Prudence Campbell,
Grade 3, Oakview Preparatory

It’s a different kind a world.
A different kind a world Voice 2
From the day our forefathers died
A different kind a world  Voice 2
Everyone suddenly have rights
Aah, a different kind a world Voice 2

Not the right to mind your elders
The right to murmur and complain
A way, different kind a world Voice 2
People no longer greet you in the street or even at home
It’s the computer, its texting
A different kind a world Voice 2

Freedom is now too free
A different kind a world Voice 2
Suddenly tails wagging dogs
Youngsters making the rules and breaking them too soon
Sad, it’s a different kind a world Voice 2

Then, places were off limit
Water was free
If you were at the right fountain
But now it’s a different kind a world Voice 2

Today you can read Martin’s story
It gives us much to learn
But it’s a different kind a world Voice 2
We can live his dream while fully awake
It’s a different kind of world Voice 2

All
Stay strong my people
Talk it out
Don’t fight it out
Our journey has just began
You see, this is a different kind a world!.   All
