Dear Parent / Guardian:
- Please be reminded of the following: Your child / children will receive on Monday, March 29 a registration package for the 2010- 2011 school year. Please help us in our strategic planning for the next school year by completing the registration form and return it to the school by May 15, with $50.00 deposit. It is important to know how many students are planning to return especially grades 6 - 8. If your child is not returning to Oakview, please return the blank registration form because we too are experiencing the effects of this very hard economic time.
- Tuesday, March 2, Home and School meeting at 6:30 p.m. Please remember to pick up your child on time, because too many children are in the building after 3:30 p.m. It is especially very difficult when we are having staff meeting on the first Tuesday of each month to supervise these students, and at the same time planning and making important decisions.
- Please be reminded that the concert is rescheduled for Saturday, March 6, 2010 at the same time. School will be closed on Monday, March 8.
Please send the money for the tickets in a sealed envelope with your child’s name as soon as possible. We have special identification on each ticket.
- The Senior Choir (grades 4-8) will be performing at Emmanuel SDA Church for Divine Hour Service on Saturday, March 20. We are asking all students to be there in their choir uniforms by 10:30 a.m. The Church is located at 3450 Eastchester Road Bronx, NY 10469.
For those who are behind in your monthly tuition, we are expecting you to come and clear your account as soon as it is humanly possible. We have been patient; however the school needs to meet its financial obligations. (If you need the Federal ID for your Income Tax, the number is 113070794)
- The Student council will organize a game day on Wednesday, March 31. All students are allowed to come to school in their gym uniforms on that day. On the following day April, 1, the school will be closed at 12:30 p.m. and will reopen on Monday, April 12.
- We are upgrading our computers in the computer lab room, we have 10 computers available (Pentium 1) that students can use at home for basic usage. Those who are interesting please call the office as soon as possible. The cost is $150.00 per unit. That includes keyboard, mouse, CPU and monitor.
