APRIL 2018 NEWSLETTER

Monday, April 9, 2018

Dear Parent / Guardian:

Please be reminded of the following:

1. Home and School meeting Tuesday, April 10 @ 7:00 pm at the school.

2. Registration forms will be sent home on May 1, 2018 for the most demanding classes. At this moment they are grades 6, 7 and 8. Please fill out the form and return it with a $50.00 deposit by May 15. Parents are welcome to come to the office to complete the form. Thank you for your cooperation.

2. Please remember to send the money for your concert ticket to Ms. Stokes at the office. The concert will be on Sunday, April 22 at 3pm. School will function as normal on Monday April 23 and June 18 will be make up days.

3. Thanks to all of you who will support the concert and return the monthly tuition faithfully. We need this fundraising project to support the school financially. So far we have spent about $10,000 on unexpected expenses on bus #2 for repairs and bus rental. By May 1st, we want all accounts to be at a zero balance. We do not want the school to accumulate a debt because of unpaid accounts.  If however the tuition is not paid, we have no choice but to ask you to keep your child out of school until this is done. Students with unpaid balances will not be allowed to take the final exams.

4. Wednesday to Friday of this week will be English State Exams for Grades 3 – 8. Please make sure that your child comes to school prepared with at least 2 HB pencils sharpened from home.

5. Thursday, April 12. Early Dismissal at 12:30 p.m. Parent / Teacher Conference from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. It is very important that you come to see your child’s teacher. I also encourage ongoing involvement and communication with the teacher; do not wait until the end of the marking period to do so.

7.  April 20, Dress Down Day. Please remember to send your child with $1.00. Too many students are dressing down without paying the participation fee.

Sincerely yours,

 J. Eric Imbert, Principal
